“It’s been in my family for years, and it’s really a passion,” he said. “And yes, I have a set of divining rods.
Knapp said in his time he’s been able to accomplish quite a bit for the town of Norton.
“Norton has five wells, and three of them weren’t even in compliance with state and federal regulations, and those three wells have been modernized and revamped,” he said. “Now we just need to keep going on a distribution system and get the water filtration plant to remove iron and manganese. The system had not been neglected but we never made any major repairs unless we had to.”
Knapp said the revamps and projects led to a very beneficial result for anyone in Norton.
“You think of what you pay when you buy a bottle of water,” he said. “You can get 700 gallons of water in Norton for the same price, and it’s better quality too.”
