Norton Teen Charged In Crash That Killed Brockton Woman
Devin Luc Larocque, 18, of Norton has been charged with negligent homicide in the death of a Brockton woman Saturday in Raynham.
BROCKTON, MA — A Norton teen was arraigned Monday and charged with negligent motor vehicle homicide in the death of a Brockton woman Saturday night in Raynham. Raynham police said an investigation determined that Dawn Rodrigues, 42, was driving southbound on Broadway Saturday night when Thompson's Chevy Silverado swerved into her lane and hit her Ford Focus head on.
Police said the Silverado pushed the Focus off the roadway, the Silverado flipped over, and it landed on the hood of a Honda Civic. Firefighters used hydraulic rescue tools to remove Rodrigues and her passenger, a 47-year-old Brockton man, from the wreckage, and both were rushed to Good Samaritan Hospital. Rodrigues could not recover from her injuries. Raynham police said the man was in stable condition as of Monday night.
The driver of the Civic was not injured.
