Taunton Fire: 11 Displaced, Roof Collapses In Massive Blaze
Firefighters battled the three-alarm fire at a multi-family home deep into the night. The roof collapsed, but everyone made it out safely.
TAUNTON, MA — Nearly three dozen firefighters battled a three-alarm fire at a multi-family home deep into Tuesday night. The fire displaced 11 residents from the six-apartment home on Harrison Street.
No serious injuries were reported. Taunton Fire Chief Timothy Bradshaw said a man was rescued from a second-floor balcony as the fire burned nearby. All residents are believed to have escaped.
One Taunton firefighter was treated at the scene for a heat-related condition. He is expected to be OK.

The fire at 46 Harrison St. was first reported around 8:20 p.m. Firefighters arrived to find large flames and heavy smoke. Nearby fire departments were quickly called to assist.
The roof collapsed around 10:30 pm.

Harrison Street and Winthrop Street were closed for hours into early Wednesday morning.
