Taunton Schools To Reopen After Threat
Taunton High School and Parker Middle School were closed Tuesday after someone issued a threat, police said.

TAUNTON, MA — Two Taunton schools will reopen Wednesday after a threat forced officials to cancel classes. The threat was made in a note that was discovered by a high school worker Monday, according to Taunton schools Superintendent Julie Hackett. The threat mentioned violence at the high school and middle school that would supposedly be committed Tuesday, police said during a news conference.
No arrests were announced as of Tuesday. Police said they are continuing the investigate the matter.
The schools will make up the lost day at the end of the year, Hackett said.
