Trial of Alleged Abusive Babysitter Under Way

The trial of a 33-year-old North Attleboro woman charged with assault and battery stemming from a babysitting job in Norton has begun, Boston.com is reporting.

Crystal Goodis, of North Attleborough, allegedly indecently touched the 4 1/2-year-old girl and punched her 3-year-old brother at their home in Norton more than three years ago. Thie children are now 8 and 6, and they testified that Goodis would scare them, hit them and threaten them if they told their mother.

Goodis' attorney argued that the witness tesitmony is not credible.
