National Grid Worker Falls 35 Feet Working On Wires In Norton
The National Grid worker fell onto live wires, and then to the ground 35 feet below. He suffered life-threatening injuries
NORTON, MA — A National Grid utility worker suffered life-threatening injuries after falling 35 feet at a job site Tuesday morning. Around 10 a.m, police and fire officials were called when the 40 year-old man, who was working on power lines on West Hodges, fell out of the bucket of his truck, onto live wires and then 35 feet to the ground.
The detail officer, along with another National Grid employee, immediately performed CPR until paramedics arrived a few minutes later. The man was rushed to Rhode Island hospital with life-threatening injuries. The man's status is not known at this time and his identify has been withheld.
