Norwood High School Swimming and Diving split this week, beating Central Catholic, 97-84, but falling to league rival, Natick, 100-85.

Captain Patricia Lee continues her dominance of her events, remaining undefeated this season. She is 5 for 5 in attempts at state qualifying times. Diver Kristen Folan has also qualified for states in all three of her attempts.  Fellow divers Brianna Whelan and MacKenzie Begley have scored huge points for the team and have also eclipsed their high totals from last year.

Although last night's [Friday] loss to Natick was disappointing there were several highlights as juniors Anthony Rodriguez, Tessa Maguire, Marguerite Lee and Meaghan Shaughnessey's strong work ethic in the pool have paid off with personal best times and scoring for the team.

In all, one diver (Folan) and six individual swimmers (Senior Captains Patricia Lee in 5 events and Eddie Hernon in 3 events; Juniors Athony Rodriguez, Jimmy Conley, Nick Gaetani and Sophomore Charlotte Rivard) have already qualified for sectional or state tournaments. Several other swimmers and divers are very close to making cut times/scores.
