Could Norwood Move to the Tri-Valley League?

NORWOOD, MA — Dedham is already on their way out of the Bay State Conference, but could join them in the Tri-Valley League?

Back in November, Norwood athletic director Jon Longley gave a presentation during an information secession on a possible move to the smaller league, according to the Norwood Bulletin. With Norwood becoming less competitive in the league, and no team posting a winning record, 70 percent of coaches said they would be in favor of a move, according to a poll taken by Longley.

Enrollment is also an issue. With 967 students Norwood High School is one of the smallest schools in the Herget Division.

A recommendation will be made to the school committee in April.
