Despite Gains, Norwood Home Prices Remain Under Pre-Recession Prices

Despite gains over the last few years, home prices in Norwood have yet to return to their pre-recession prices.
According to data compiled by the Boston Globe, Norwood saw a decrease of 5.63 percent in median home prices from 2005 to 2014, but a 10.52 percent increase between 2011 and last year.
In 2005, the median home price was $404,000, before dipping to $344,950 in 2011. The median price increased to $381,250 last year.

Locally, only Sharon has seen median prices recover from the recession with median prices increasing 7.35 percent from 2005 to 2014. In the same period, Foxborough remains down 6.23 percent, Mansfield is 13.44 percent lower, and Stoughton is 13.78 percent below 2005 prices.
