Donkeys, Tigers, and Bears? Oh My!

Looking to escape the cold, snowy weather of the New England winter? Well, why not join us in the jungle, where we’ve got all the “Bear Necessities” for your trip into a “Big Bright Beautiful World” of exciting performances!

Join us for the The Jungle Book, KIDS! But first, get wild with a pre-show performance of “Where the Wild Things Are”, where you’ll venture to a mystery island full of strange and monstrous beasts! Then, journey deep into the jungle and meet the man-cub Mowgli, and his friend Bagheera, the panther. On the run from fierce and dangerous tiger, Shere Khan, Mowgli and Bagheera must unite their jungle friends to defeat the terrifying menace and restore peace to the jungle! Along the way, they meet Baloo, King Louie, and many more friendly (and not-so friendly) faces. An exciting and exhilarating musical adventure awaits in The Jungle Book, KIDS!

Later, you'll find yourself in Duloc when you see Shrek, Jr.! Follow Shrek and Donkey as they embark on a hilarious adventure fighting dragons, rescuing a princess, and taking on the tall task of saving the kingdom from the villainous rule of Lord Farquaad! After Lord Farquaad banishes the fairytale creatures to Shrek’s swamp, our misanthropic hero must venture off to save Lord Farquaad’s bride-to-be, Fiona, in order to win back his home. Joined by loveable wise-cracking Donkey, Shrek begins a journey of acceptance, attempting to win the heart of Princess Fiona and defeat the tiny tyrannical ruler, Farquaad. You’ll be letting your Freak Flag Fly before the show is even ogre! Our swamp is your swamp, so be sure to join us as Shrek Jr. is not to be missed!

So, come on down to the Norwood Theatre (109 Central St, Norwood, MA 02062) on Tuesday, December 18th for an evening of amazing performances! The Jungle Book, KIDS begins at 5:30pm followed by Shrek, Jr. at 7:30 pm.
