It's Official, Norwood Moving To Tri-Valley League
Norwood will compete as a TVL team in the 2018-19 school year.

NORWOOD, MA — Say goodbye to the Rockets, Tigers, Raiders, Wamps, and Rebels of the Bay State Conference and say hello to the Lancers, Hillers, Clockers, and Wolverines of the Tri-Valley League (TVL).
During Wednesday night's school committee meeting, Chairperson Myev Bodenhofer announced that Norwood High School was accepted into the TVL, granted their release from the Bay State Conference, and will compete as a TVL team in the 2018-19 school year.
"At this point our league transfer is complete," Bodenhofer said.

The move has been highly contentious with residents and officials on both sides of the issue pushing the committee for action. Supports of the move have cited Norwood's position as the smallest school in the conference along with a lack of wins as cause to move while those against the move believe that the decision was made too fast and sends a message that when things are tough, just move to an easier league.
Also Wednesday, the school committee was issued a 400-name petition protesting the move. Resident Scott Clifford, who gave the committee the petition, said everyone who signed it is a Norwood resident.
