While there are coffee drinkers of various types across New England, it's no secret that a vast majority of Massachusetts residents are fans of Dunkin' Donuts.

And the feeling is mutual for the Canton-based coffee chain and during a tumultous week in the aftermath of the Boston Marathon Bombings, the company was able to strengthen its bond with customers, residents and first-responders alike.

Dunkin’ Donuts has donated $100,000 to One Fund Boston in the wake of the Boston Marathon Bombings, and even remained open during the recent lockdown and manhunt of Suspect #2.

Friday, April 19, marked a day of tension and, ultimately, relief for thousands across the Commonwealth.

That went especially for residents of Watertown and several Boston communities, who remained in lockdown for most of the day, until authorities eventually capturedDzhokhar Tsarnaev, one of two suspects thought to be involved in last week's bombing at the Boston Marathon.

But the news of Tsarnaev's capture rippled throughout communities beyond Watertown, including Sharon, the home of just a half hour before the first blast went off.
