New Hibachi And Sushi Bar Coming To Norwood

A new restaurant will be replacing the old Fuji Hibachi Restaurant on Route 1.

NORWOOD, MA — A new restaurant will be replacing the old Fuji Hibachi Restaurant on Route 1.

Last week, the selectmen approved a liquor license transfer to Zhen Kui "Kevin" Tien, the owner and operator of Yamato Hibachi & Sushi Bar.

His attorney, Phil Mackey, told the board that they are effectively taking over the space. Unlike Fuji, Yamato will be more of a sit-down restaurant and there won't be a buffet component.

Tien told the board he has over a decade of restaurant experience, including managing a similar restaurant in Brockton.

No opening date was given to the board.
