No Plans Yet For New Restaurant For Old Outback Steakhouse
The company, however, believes they will have a buyer for the liquor license within 90 days.

NORWOOD, MA — Nothing is lined up for the former Outback Steakhouse right off of Route 1, but that may change in the next 90 days.
Joe Devlin, an attorney who represents Outback Steakhouse, told the selectmen Tuesday night that the company is working with a license broker to find a buyer for their liquor license. The restaurant closed in January and have been unsuccessful in selling the license.
Devlin told the board that the restaurant tried to work with the landlord to transfer the license to the next tenant because it will likely be a new restaurant due to the amount of equipment already installed.

"It's hard to turn (restaurants) into retail, it's expensive to turn them into retail," Devlin said.
Conversations about the landlord buying the license have been unsuccessful and no one has plans to move into the space. Devlin, however, said he is confident that the broker will be able to find a buyer within 60 to 90 days.
