Norwood Hospital Reopens Coronavirus Outpatient Testing Center
The reopened facility is in an all-weather mobile medical unit on the grounds of Norwood Hospital.

NORWOOD, MA — Norwood Hospital will reopen its outpatient COVID-19 Testing Center on Monday.
The center serves as appointment-only COVID-19 PCR Testing for the community at large. The reopened facility is an all-weather mobile medical unit on the grounds of Norwood Hospital adjacent to the Post Office on Washington Street.
COVID-19 tests will be collected inside the negative pressure mobile medical unit. Patients with an appointment will drive into the parking lot and a member of the center will call the mobile phone number on file to enter the center for their test.

The center will operate Mondays through Fridays from 8 a.m. – 4:30 p.m.

“In response to the immense community need, during the spring when we first launched the Testing Center, we were testing up to 160 patients a day,” said Salvatore Perla, DrPH, President, Norwood Hospital. “While the hospital remains closed including emergency services, the need for local testing services has not diminished, and we have been working to reestablish safe and convenient COVID-19 outpatient testing to support the communities we serve during this public health emergency."
