Norwood Man Hospitalized After Snowmobile Accident In NH
Officials tried airlifting him to a nearby hospital but weather conditions kept them from landing.

STEWARTSTOWN, NH — A Norwood man was in a snowmobile accident in New Hampshire over the weekend and had to be airlifted to the hospital. The man was riding his snowmobile in Stewartstown, NH on Saturday when he got stuck in a ditch.
Nicholas Hajjar was riding his snowmobile when it crashed in a ditch near Big Diamond Pond. New Hampshire Fish and Game officials said Hajiar lost control of his machine while he was trying to get out of the ditch and was thrown into a tree.
He was initially to be airlifted to Dartmouth Hitchcock Medical Center, but due to weather, the helicopter couldn't land. He was taken to the hospital by ambulance.

Officials said he had severe but non-life-threatening injuries.
The crash is still under investigation by authorities, but alcohol and drugs do not seem to be a factor. NH Fish and Game reminded riders to always maintain control of their machines and be mindful of all existing trail conditions.
