Norwood Police Holding Prom Drive For Formal Wear
Norwood police and the high school are teaming up to make sure everyone can afford to look their best and enjoy themselves.
NORWOOD, MA — It's almost prom season in Norwood. Students have been going shopping for the right dress, tux, and shoes for months getting ready for the big night. But for some, affording formal attire is a privilege, so Norwood police and the high school are teaming up to make sure everyone can afford to look their best and enjoy themselves.
The police department and school have joined up to hold a prom drive. They will collect donated dresses, shirts, ties, suits, shoes, purses, and more to make sure everyone can have a special night. There are two scheduled dates for the drive:
- 10 a.m. to noon, April 27 - Norwood Police Station - drop-off is at the rear of the building.
- 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., May 8 - Norwood High School
