Norwood Police Log: Assault and Battery on a Police Officer and Multiple Larcenies

Friday- May 10, 2013

Suspicious Activity- 8:45 a.m.

Monroe Street and Railroad Avenue- A little girl informed the Traffic Sub that a man approached her two days ago and wanted her to be friends with him. Report filed.

Found Syringe- 10:01 a.m.

Vernon Street- 2 syringes left in the part near Hawthorn Street by a Coke can between the street and the sidewalk.

Shoplifting Arrests- 4:23 p.m.

Providence Highway- Caller reported two shoplifters at Stop and Shop. Two placed under arrest. Rachel A. Macmillan, 20, of 56 Hitching Post Road, Walpole, Mass. was arrested for alleged Shoplifting by Asportation and on two outstanding warrants and a fugitive from justice on court warrant.

Jack Mansour, 22, of 332 Dedham Street, Wrentham, Mass. was arrested for alleged Shoplifting by Asportation and on three outstanding warrants.

Assaults- 4:49 p.m.

Access Road- Subject came into the station to report that he was assaulted at Avis Rent-A-Car. He showed the red marks on his neck. He was told an officer would be in to see him in 5-10 minutes. The man made a call outside the station and then left.

Larceny- 5:25 p.m.

Codman Road- Walk-in party reported the larceny of money by her son. Report filed.

Found Syringe- 6:35 p.m.

Winter Street and Sycamore Street- Officer removed one syringe.

Assaults- 11:21 p.m.

Washington Street- Caller reported that her neighbor assaulter her. Officer sent. As a result two were placed under arrest. Linda L. Cullen-Foley, 52, of 1236 Washington Street, Apt. 2L, Norwood, was arrested for alleged Assault and Battery on a Police Officer, Resisting Arrest and Intimidating a Witness.

Thomas P. Reilly, 50, of 25 Alandale Parkway, Apt. 1F, Norwood, was arrested for Assault and Battery, Resisting Arrest and Intimidating a Witness.

Saturday- May 11, 2013

Animal Complaint- 6:53 a.m.

Longwood Terrace- Party called and stated that she was calling for her friend who had a squirrel in her living room. Animal Control Officer notified.

9-1-1 Dispute- 4:51 p.m.

Lenox Street- Report of a customer and sales associate at Sally Beauty Supply arguing over returning items without a receipt. Officer spoke to all parties. Matter resolved.

Sunday- May 12, 2013

Possession of a Class B Drug- 2:57 a.m.

Providence Highway- One Under arrest at Hampton Inn. David Charles Morrill, 28, of 30 Eastman Avenue, Foxborough, Mass. was arrested for alleged Possession of a Class B Drug and Possession of Marijuana Under and Ounce.

Larceny- 4:14 a.m.

Cottage Street- Caller reported the theft of money from her purse. Report filed.

Larceny- 1:20 a.m.

Providence Highway- Customer at One Bistro reported her camera had gone missing in last five minutes. Officer reported that after a search was conducted the camera was found in a linen basket. Customer satisfied.

Found Syringe- 7:51 p.m.

Hawthorne Street- Caller reported that she found a bad of needles and caps in her yard. Report filed.
