Norwood Police Log: Breaking and Entering, Package Stolen

Tuesday, Dec. 18

7:10 a.m. - Caller on Vanderbilt Avenue reported parking lot drainage grates stolen. Police filed a report.

1:32 p.m. - Caller at Starbucks Coffee on Boston-Providence Highway reported a found syringe. Officer responded and removed the same.

8:42 p.m. - Caller on Berwick Street reported house entered sometime during the day. Police filed a report.

Wednesday, Dec. 19

10:02 a.m. - Caller reported pedestrian accident at Nahatan and Pleasant streets. Complaint application issued. Officer Harkins gave courtesy transport to Lincoln Street. No tow needed. Report filed.

11:12 a.m. - Caller at Jaguar and Landrover of Norwood reported a bogus check passed for $700. Police filed a report.

2:03 p.m. - Caller reported her pocketbook stolen yesterday while at Shaw's on Nahatan Street. Police filed a report.

3:58 p.m. - Caller on Chapel Street reported package removed after Fed Ex left it. Police filed a report.

8:21 p.m. - Caller reported a disturbance at the David Terrace Apartments. As a result, police arrested Rajendra Patel, of Norwood, for assault and battery.

11:27 p.m. - Caller at Courtyard by Mariott on River Ridge Drive reported breaking and entering to a vehicle. Police filed a report.
