Norwood Releases Outdoor Dining Applications For 2021

Outdoor dining can begin as soon as a restaurant's application has been processed.

NORWOOD, MA — Norwood restaurants can now apply for outdoor dining permits for 2021.

The town announced the application opening on Thursday — outdoor dining can start as soon as the restaurant's application is processed. Outdoor dining was a life raft to many restaurants that could not open and serve indoors during pandemic restrictions.

While the state has lifted restrictions on restaurant capacity, tables still must be 6 feet apart or separated with partitions and the 90-minute and six-person-per-table limits remain. Outdoor dining proved to be an inventive and safe way for restaurants to bring customers in and many towns saw the mix of warm weather and outdoor dining bring new life to downtown business districts.
