Norwood Students Perform Higher Than State Percentages on MCAS
The spring 2012 MCAS scores were released by the Massachusetts Department of Education.
The Massachusetts Department of Education recently released MCAS scores from this past spring that show Norwood students on the whole out-performing the state's numbers.
With all the grades combined, 74 percent of Norwood students scored "Advanced" or "Proficient" in English, 62 percent in Mathematics and 57 percent in Science and Tech. Statewide 69 percent of students scored in the top two categories for English, 59 percent in Mathematics and 54 percent in Science and Tech.
