Norwood Storm Update: Snow Forecasts Get An Increase

The NWS says to be on the lookout for up to 8 inches of snow, while WBZ says it could be up to a foot!

NORWOOD, MA — Despite uncertainty around how much snow could be on the ground by the end of Wednesday's storm, forecasts are starting to go up. The National Weather Service's latest forecast has Norwood receiving 6 to 8 inches of snow. That's an increase for what has been an uncertain forecast. WBZ is also upping their numbers to 6 to 12 inches.

The town remains in a winter storm warning until Thursday.

The NWS noted that Norwood is in an area where they have high uncertainty in their snowfall predictions due to where the rain/snow line falls. The NWS' forecast has changed multiple times in the last few hours, with projections going as low as 4 inches to as high as 8 inches due to temperature shifts.

On the wind front, you can still expect gusts between 40 to 50 miles per hour to sweep across the area Wednesday.
