NPD Arrest Alleged Car Thief, Drug Users
Highlights from the daily police logs for Feb. 7-9.

Monday, Feb. 7:
7:19 a.m. - Caller reported cars stolen from BMW Gallery on Boston-Providence Highway. Upon investigation the police reported one car missing and one recovered that had been stolen in Newton.
9:32 a.m. - Police received a call of a breaking and entering at the Mug 'N Muffin restaurant. A report was filed.

10:07 a.m. - Patrol arrested one male party from Norwood on an outstanding warrant for domestic violence.
1:06 p.m. - Police assisted the fire department with a roof collapse at Envirotrack on Route 1. NFD handled.

8:58 p.m. - A walk-in reported the larceny of a pocketbook on Washington St. Officers filed a report.
Tuesday, Feb. 8:
1:47 a.m. - Caller reported yelling coming from an apartment below her on David Terrace. Officers responded and returned with two brothers in protective custody. Police filed a report.
1:02 p.m. - A caller reported that she believed two people were doing drugs in a car in the parking lot of Work Out World on Route 1. As a result police arrested Sarah J. McHugh of Mansfield and Thomas C. Fitzgerald for possession of heroin. A police report has been filed.
8:10 p.m. - Police arrested Daniel J. McLaughlin of Boston on outstanding warrants after a caller reported unruly passengers on a commuter rail train at the Norwood Central MBTA station. He was transported to the police station and a report was filed.
Wednesday, Feb. 9:
1:20 a.m. - Police received a 911 call for a breaking and entering on Gay St. Upon arrival, police discovered that an intoxicated neighbor had wandered into the wrong house. He was placed into protective custody and transported home.
10:20 a.m. - Police received multiple calls of a widespread power outage up and down Route 1 and throughout town. Traffic lights were also affected. By 10:50 most power was restored.
5:45 p.m. - Caller reported a drunk person at Hannaford Market on Walpole St. Police took him into protective custody and released to a family member.
11:08 p.m. - Police arrested Larry N. Warfield of Boston for an outstanding warrant and violating a restraining order after receiving a call of a stolen motor vehicle on Adams St. The suspect was found and arrested after a second caller reported the vehicle driving erratically in Dedham.
