Police Logs: NPD Makes Active Warrant, Drug Arrests

Highlights from the daily police logs, Dec 20-22.

Monday, Dec. 20:

9:39 a.m. - Caller from Staples on Route 1 reports graffiti on the side of the building in blue paint. Responding officers filed a report.

2:48 p.m. - Department received a report of a rollover in front of Jack Madden Ford on Route 1. None were taken to the hospital as a result but the state DPW was advised of the icy conditions causing the accident.

3:43 p.m. - Officers responded to a minor motor vehicle accident at Windsor Tire on Walpole St. State DPW was again advised of the road conditions.

Tuesday, Dec. 21:

9:38 a.m. - Caller reports a breaking and entering incident at Rainbow Nails on Central St. Responding officer reported the front door smashed in.

1:05 p.m. - Caller reported wires down near Washington St. and Chapel St. Responding officers were able to clear the problem.

7:36 p.m. - Officers responded to a disturbance at a Washington St. address. Caller reported one individual was drunk and damaging property. When the police arrived on scene, the subject fled on foot and was arrested near the Oldham school. Same party had an active warrant in the system and was charged with malicious damage to property for the incident Tuesday.

Wednesday, Dec. 22:

2:19 a.m. - A caller from a Washington St. residence reported a male party banging on their door. The suspect then took off on foot toward the center of town. Police apprehended him at Mobil and he was placed under arrest for possession of class D drugs with intent to distribute.

10:14 p.m. - Mother called to report that her daughter is drunk. Officers responded to the Washington St. address and placed the girl in protective custody, then releasing her to her mother.
