A routine stop for Walpole Police officers Pat Moriarty and Ian Tolland ended up with them taking a loaded gun off the streets Monday.
Michael Dumaine, 39, of 14 Ames Street, West Warwick, RI was arrested for allegedly carrying a semi-automatic pistol without permit and possession of dangerous weapons (5) illegal edged knives, including a samurai sword.

Officers also found a black mask and gloves in the vehicle, according to Deputy Chief John Carmichael.

KP Cafeterias Looking for Options Amid New Regulations
For the parents of King Philip students, maybe they’ve already heard the complaints from their kids about the changes concerning the lunches and snacks at school. The kids however, are not alone as even Cafeteria Director Mary Ann Reynolds is feeling the effects of the new rules and regulations.
This school year is the first under a law passed by the state in 2011 that regulates what can and cannot be served in school. With vending machine snacks and flavored drinks just a couple of the popular items gone, the cafeterias in the King Philip School District are looking quite different compared to last year.

Foxborough Police Evacuate Several Patriot Place Businesses Monday After Threat Found in Staples
Several businesses at Patriot Place's South Marketplace were evacuated Monday after a Staples' employee discovered a typewritten threat in the store.
The employee notified Foxborough Police around 7 p.m. Monday of the threat, according to Foxborough Police Chief Edward O'Leary.
"A threat was left within the store itself and as a result, several stores adjacent to that one were evacuated as a precautionary measure," said O'Leary.

Norwood Man Charged with Possession of Pills in Boston
Boston Police responding to Massachusetts Avenue for a fist fight on Saturday morning ended up arresting a Norwood man for possession of drugs.
Police said officers reportedly observed four people involved in a fist fight near Harrison and Massachusetts Avenue around 8:45 a.m. on Saturday morning.
After officers broke up the fight, they identified Sean Hannon, of 389 Neponset St. in Norwood, who had an active default warrant out for his arrest from Attleboro District Court.

Three Injured in Serious Accident on 95 in Mansfield
A motor vehicle collision has been reported on Route 95 North at the Route 495 intersection in Mansfield Saturday.
Three people were injured when a 1993 Volvo rolled over on the highway. At about 6 p.m., the vehicle rolled off the higway.
Massachusetts State Police confirmed that there was a one-vehicle accident with serious injuries.

Wednesday, September 5
(8:49 p.m.) According to police reports, a woman was caught shoplifting from a store on Bussey Street. When officers arrived and met with the Loss Prevention Officer, she had already been detained. Surveilance observed her taking several eyeglasses from the store without paying for them. The value of these items was $170. She was notified by police that she will be summonsed to Dedham District Court.
