Restaurant Cleared Of Liquor License Violation

During an investigation into whether the restaurant overserved a person, it was determined that the restaurant made no violation.

Editor's note: A previous version of this story said Acapulcos was cleared of an alleged violation for a failed compliance check. The restaurant was actually cleared of a separate, unrelated violation.

NORWOOD, MA — A local establishment accused of committing a liquor license violation has been cleared of any wrongdoing.

The selectmen voted last Tuesday to accept a report by Norwood Police Detective Richard Giacoppo which concluded that there is no evidence that a violation was committed at Acapulcos on Route 1.

The investigation was the result of an OUI arrest, according to Chief William Brooks. He said that there was some evidence that the driver had left the Acapulco just prior to being arrested.
