Torrential Downpours, Thunderstorms in Norwood Friday

It’s already started, and looks like Norwood is in for a lot of rain Friday.

The National Weather Service has issued a severe weather alert for torrential rainfall across the Greater Boston area on Friday. In some cases, thunderstorms are accompanying the rainfall.

The cluster of showers is producing torrential rainfall with estimates of up to one inch per hour.

With this rainfall, expect minor and poor drainage flooding. Drivers are advised not to drive through flooded roads.

This is just the beginning, rain and thunderstorms are expected all weekend long.
