Two Norwood Restaurants Closing, New Owner

Bon Caldo Ristorante announced it's closure and Bamboo Cafe was sold to new management.

NORWOOD, MA — A Norwood mainstay restaurant announced it will close it's doors and another will be sold to new management. On Thursday, Bon Caldo Ristorante announced that after ten years it will close it's doors permanently. Bamboo Cafe, which announced it's closure last month, had a sign on it's door notifying customers that the establishment was sold to new management.

Bon Caldo, located at 1381 Boston Providence Turnpike, was known for it's fresh pasta, wood-fired grill and wine list. In a Facebook post filled with photos, the restaurant announced it's closure.

"With a heavy and humble heart I wanted to reach out to all of you to let you know I will cherish every memory these last 10 years. Bon Caldo will be closing it’s doors this Saturday night," the post reads, "I will let you know where I land with the next part of my journey. Again. Much love to everyone of you. My heart is broken."

Bamboo Café announced it's closure at the end of January, also in a Facebook post. Bamboo Café served Norwood for 16 years and closed on Jan. 31.

"We are incredibly grateful for our loyal customers and want to thank you for all of your support of both Bamboo House and Bamboo Café in the past 16 years."

On Tuesday, the Transcript and Bulletin tweeted a photo of a sign on the restaurant's door saying the cafe is in the process of being sold to another Chinese restaurant and will "Reopen under new ownership in a short while." The restaurant was known for it's sushi bar, Chinese and Japanese take-out and sit-down dinners.
