Walpole Event to Help Mass Seniors Plan for the Future
On March 11, New Pond Village Will Demystify the Continuing Care Retirement Community Model of Senior Living

Within the next decade, all of the nation’s 74 million baby boomers will be 65 or older and will be facing even more decisions about their wellbeing.
One of the growing options available to seniors is Continuing Care Retirement Communities or CCRC’s, a model often misunderstood. On Wed., March 11, New Pond Village, a Benchmark LifePlan Community and one of approximately 30 CCRC’s in Mass. will demystify this option for seniors when they host Taking the Next Step: A Retirement Living Discussion from 2 – 4 pm.
“Over the years we’ve found that there is a lot of misinformation about what CCRC’s like New Pond can offer,” says Adam Manchester, executive director of New Pond Village, who will be leading the March 11 event. “I’m excited to be able to arm people with the facts they need to make informed decisions as they age. We are a vibrant community of active, social adults desiring an ‘insurance policy’ that allows them to plan their housing and care for years to come while maintaining the independence and lifestyle they’ve always enjoyed.”

Taking the Next Step: A Retirement Living Discussion will answer the most burning questions seniors and their loved ones have and will compare it to other senior living options. Some of the topics discussed will include the importance of socialization throughout every stage of life, the costs of staying in one’s home versus community living and prioritizing planning ahead, given rapidly rising healthcare and housing costs.
