Walpole Police Arrest Man In Connection To Armed Robbery

Two other suspects in the robbery got away on foot, according to police.

WALPOLE, MA — Walpole police arrested one man on Sunday night in connection to an armed robbery and are searching for the other two suspects. The robbery happened at the Cumberland Farms on Main Street, police were told the suspect in the robbery was holding a weapon but left the scene in a car.

Denyson Pierre, 20, of Brockton, was arrested on Sunday night and charged with armed robbery, he will be arraigned in Wrentham District Court on Tuesday. Walpole police officials said additional charges could be brought forth.

Police said after the report of the robbery came in an officer spotted a car that fit the description and started a chase along Route 1 until the car crashed into a guardrail — three people got out of the car and took off on foot.

Officers from the Norwood, Walpole and State Police K9 division were able to catch up to and find Pierre and arrest him.

Anyone with information on the other two suspects is asked to call police.
