WATCH: Matt Brown Crosses Boston Marathon Finish Line

Not even the coldest, wettest, and windiest day could stop Brown and his friend Lucas Carr from running.

BOSTON, MA — Not even some of the worst rain and wind Marathon Monday has ever seen could stop Norwood's Matt Brown and his friend Lucas Carr from running the Boston Marathon Monday.

The duo once again completed the marathon together, a tradition which goes back to 2012. Brown and Carr, a Boston firefighter, completed the run from Hopkinton to Back Bay in 4:51:03.

Brown was left paralyzed from the chest down from an injury suffered in a 2010 Norwood High School hockey game. As they told Vice Sports in 2016, the two met in 2010 when Carr, a Norwood High School graduate, reached out to the Brown family to offer any help he could provide. Two years later, the pair ran their first Boston Marathon together
