1. Barefoot Wine Beach Rescue Project

Where/When: 1175 Soldiers Field Rd, Boston; Saturday, Sept. 8, 2:30 p.m.

Why Go: The Barefoot Wine Beach Rescue Project helps keep beaches, rivers and lakes across America “barefoot friendly.” In 2012, Barefoot Wine and the Surfrider Foundation, along with community volunteers, are embarking on a tour of 25 cleanups nationwide, stopping in Boston. Following the cleanup, volunteers 21 and older are invited to attend a Surfrider-hosted celebration featuring Barefoot Wine and surf-inspired fare. 2. Late Night Showing of "Mulholland Dr."

Why Go: The Dedham Community Theater is continuing its Friday late night screenings this September in honor of the 35th anniversary of visionary filmmaker David Lynch's debut classic, Eraserhead. Head over for a special one time screening of Mulholland Dr. this Friday, as they begin the journey back in time through Lynch's catalog.

3. Fall for Healthy Living Expo

Where/When: 23 Everett St., Norwood; Sunday, Sept. 9, 1-4 p.m.

Why Go: This event brings together a harvest of healthy offerings for your wellness. Meet the business owners, while learning and experiencing what they do. There will be interactive exhibits throughout the day and presentations every 20 minutes. Some of those in attendance will be spa owners, yoga instructors, and professional organizers.
