56 Local Students Receive Brooksby Village Scholarship

Students become eligible for the Brooksby Village Scholarship by completing 1000 hours of work over a consecutive 2-year period

Peabody, MA -- Thanks to the generosity of the over 1700 people who live at Brooksby Village, an Erickson Senior Living developed and managed retirement community in Peabody, MA, 56 student employees will receive the $12,000 Brooksby Village Scholarship.

“The students become eligible for the Brooksby Village Scholarship by completing 1000 hours of work here over a consecutive 2-year period," said Maureen Jerz, Philanthropy Manager, Brooksby Village. “This year, more than $200,000 was raised during the 2021 campaign.”

Brooksby Village has awarded scholarships to over 500 students since the program started in 2002.

“The students and the residents build strong bonds of friendship,” said Jerz. “They enjoy their conversations, daily interactions and learning from each other. The scholarship program is a wonderful benefit for students working at Brooksby Village."
