Anti-Racist, Anti-Trump Protest Planned for Tuesday in Peabody

In response to a "Back the Blue / Trump Standout" organized by a racist radio host from NH, local Peabody activists plan counter-protest

PEABODY, MA — In response to an event originally titled “Back the Blue / President Trump Standout” organized by racist, radio talk show host Dianna Ploss, local activists working with the Peabody for Social Justice community organization have organized a counter-demonstration for Tuesday, July 14, 2020 at 2:00pm in front of the Big Y Plaza in West Peabody.

In the wake of the murder of George Floyd, as well as the emerging conversations surrounding the systemic oppression of people of color in the United States, conservative radio talk show host Dianna Ploss, along with the pro-Trump Facebook page, Gabriel on Politics, have planned a “Back the Blue / President Trump Standout” in Peabody, Massachusetts.

Ploss was recently fired from her job for racially accosting landscaping workers in Nashua, New Hampshire. In a film Ploss originally posted herself, Ploss is seen and heard approaching a group of landscapers shouting "this is America, you should be speaking English," "is anyone here illegal," in addition to other racially charged comments.
