Carraba's Closes Peabody Location

PEABODY, MA -- Carraba's Italian Grill closed its Peabody location last month. A sign on the door of the establishment thanked customers for 18 years of patronage. The restaurant was located on Route 1 and was attached to the Holiday Inn in Peabody.

With the closing, the chain's only remaining Massachusetts location is in Springfield. In 2016, Bloomin' Brands Inc. -- the parent company of Carrabba's, as well as Outback Steakhouse, Italian Grill, Bonefish Grill and Fleming's Prime Steakhouse and Winebar -- agreed to pay $210,000 in back wages to 2,000 employees in Massachusetts for required training.
