Catalytic Converter Stolen on Salem Street

The following are excerpts from reports in the Peabody Police Department press log from July 11-12
Friday, July 12
- 2:36 p.m. a caller reported the larceny of three landscape lights from the front lawn of her property on Kosciusko Street.Â
- 5:02 p.m. a caller reports vandalism while vacation on Oak Avenue. Her mailbox was blown up with fireworks and replaced with a different one.Â
- 5:45 p.m. police arrested Glen A. Rigney, 58, 349 Lowell St., on Lowell Street. Rigney was charged with destruction of property over $250.Â
- 6:14 p.m. a caller reported vandalism to her aluminum storm door on Oak Avenue.Â
- 6:59 p.m. a hit and run was reported at Whispering Meadows on Route 1. A caller reports that her car was struck by a flat bed tow truck.Â
- 7:20 p.m. a caller reported that someone stole her catalytic converter on her motor vehicle on Andover Street.Â
Saturday, July 13
- 12:54 a.m. police arrested Jonathon W. Panient, 24, of 12 Pope St., Apt. A514, Salem, on Lowell Street. Panient was charged with assault and battery domestic, two counts, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, two counts, and the violation of an abuse prevention order.Â
- 12:25 p.m. a caller reported a down tree on Harris Street.Â
- 5:07 p.m. a caller reported fireworks being set off behind his trailer at the Route 1 trailer parks.Â
- 7:03 p.m. a caller reported accidental damage to a fence on Winona Street. The destruction included a broken wooden picket.Â
- 8:22 p.m. a caller reported that two cell phones were stolen from his Jeep Wrangler at the CVS on Main Street.Â
