Route 1 In Peabody Reopened After A Cement Spill
A load of wet cement closed the highway for several hours, and residual delays are expected.

PEABODY, MA — Route 1 in Peabody reopened after workers spent several hours clearing a wet cement spill that closed the northbound side of the highway. Massachusetts State Police are warning drivers to seek alternate routes and expect residual delays through the afternoon commute.
The spill occurred near Forest Street in Peabody. The road was closed and traffic was detoured onto Route 128.
