Champions Pub Owners Celebrate 25 Years in Business
Here's what you need to know today in Peabody.

Today is Thursday, Oct. 31. Here are five things to know today in Peabody.
- Champions Pub, a downtown favorite, over on Foster Street is celebrating 25 years in business this Friday. DJ Dan Desmond will be on hand for the occasion. Phil Mitchell purchased the bar back in 1988 and Kevin Houlden joined him as a co-owner in 1995. These days the bar is a family-friendly establishment, but still retains emphasis on sports.
- Happy Halloween! If you're going trick-or-treating tonight, the Peabody Police Department suggests you keep your hours to 5-8 p.m. and observe some basic safety precautions.
- Louie's Lix over on Lynn Street has a special offer running today for its first annual customer appreciation day -- free single scoops of ice cream until 8 p.m. It's also the last day of the season for Louie's until April.
- There's a blood drive scheduled up at the Children's Hospital Boston North Shore on Friday afternoon.
- "American Music": There's a new exhibit at the ArcWorks Community Art Center looking at how music influences art. A free reception for "American Music" is Friday night from 5-8 p.m.
