City Lifts Emergency Parking Ban

Residents can park their cars again on the street.

The city has lifted the emergency parking ban on all city streets. Residents can park their cars again on the street.

The Public Services Department first declared the ban early Tuesday afternoon in light of the bad snowstorm forecasted to roll through the region. The storm fizzled out much earlier than anticipated, however, and only dropped a couple inches of snow.

The Peabody Police Department sent out an alert around 12:30 p.m. on Wednesday that the ban was lifted.
