The following are excerpts from reports in the Peabody Police Department press log from May 23-24.
Monday, May 27
- 2:09 p.m. a caller reported a motor vehicle accident on Spring Pond Road. No injuries were reported and both parties refused transport by ambulance. Both vehicles were towed.Â
- 2:20 p.m. a past shoplifting was reported on Andover Street. Apricot Lane Boutique reported that $217 in costume jewelry was stolen on Sunday night.Â
- 8:03 p.m. a female caller reported a male has been stalking her and following her around for a week on Winona Street.Â
- 8:35 p.m. a road rage incident was reported on Central Street. A caller said that a female is following him closely causing a road rage incident. The female also called police and reported the same behavior.Â
- 11:28 p.m. a burglary attempt was reported on Henry Terrace. A caller reported that an unknown male was inside her house. When her son came down from the second floor, the man fled into the woods by the nearby country club. Nothing was stolen from the house. Officers checked the area but could not located the individual.Â
Tuesday, May 28
- 4:10 a.m. a caller reported a past break in to her garage on Dexter Street. A small motorized bike valued at $1,400 was stolen. The thief or thieves gained access through a side window in the garage.Â
- 8:30 a.m. a caller on Lynnfield Street reported that someone has been stealing her trash on a weekly basis. Â
- 10:02 a.m. a caller heard a loud explosion in the area of Mill Street. An officer could not locate any issue. Police eventually found out that a transformer blew on a nearby utility pole.Â
- 11:29 a.m. a caller reported vandalism to his motor vehicle on Washington Street. The caller reported that his vehicle was scratched in several different places with what appeared to be a rock. He believes that a 6-year-old male is responsible for the damage.Â
