Tickets on sale for show at Peabody's Black Box Theater.

Haven't seen the new Black Box Theater on 22 Foster Street in Peabody? You'll have another chance at the end of this month.

North Shore improv troupe Accidentally On Purpose will headline a night of comedy at Peabody's Black Box Theater on July 28th. Opening the show will be stand-up comedians Jim Ruberti and Jason Merrill.

Accidentally On Purpose's style is similar to that of the TV show "Whose Line Is It Anyway?" and uses audience suggestions to set the scene.

Ruberti bases most of his comedy on his former job as a high school teacher and disciplinary dean. Merrill is known for impressing audiences with stories from his real-life experiences and take on everyday life.

Doors will open at 6:00 p.m. and the performance will begin at 7:00 p.m. The audience will also be able to purchase beer and wine from a cash bar. Tickets can be purchased online here. This special evening of comedy benefits the outfitting of the Black Box Theater.
