IRS Scam Targeting Peabody, Police Report
Peabody Police are warning residents of an IRS phone scam.
PEABODY, MA – Peabody Police have issued a warning to residents regarding a phone scam that circulated the city earlier this summer. The scammers call residents and claim to be the IRS collecting money.
Peabody Police warn that this is not how the IRS conducts business, and recommends hanging up immediately.
