James Hinchion: WWII Vet, Postal Worker and Little League Founder, Dies at 91

- James J. Hinchion of Peabody. Born Sep. 22, 1922, died Dec. 12, 2013. Hinchion served in the U.S. Navy during World War II and then spent 36 years with the U.S. Post Office, his last six as Postmaster. He was also a commander of the Peabody American Legion, Post 153 and a founding member of Peabody Little League. Visiting Hours: Monday, Dec. 16, 4-8 p.m. Funeral Service: Tuesday, Dec. 17, 10 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Church. Burial will follow at Cedar Grove Cemetery.
- Carl R. Gottstein, Sr. of Albany, N.Y. and Danvers. Born Dec. 11, 1939, died Dec. 11, 2013. Cremation is planned with the funeral home. Per his last request, no visiting hours or funeral service is scheduled at this time.
- Patricia M. (Walsh) Hindes of Stoneham, Reading, Peabody. Born March 17, 1934, died Dec. 13, 2013. A memorial service will be held Tuesday, Dec. 17 at the Brooksby Village Chapel at 11 a.m.
