Judge Sends Billboard Issue Back to City Council

The Peabody City Council will now once again deliberate on a proposal for a large billboard on Lowell Street, according to an article in the Salem News. A Salem Superior Court Judge last summer had overruled the council and gave the billboard's proponent permission to build the sign. 

However, now that the structure has been built, a judge is saying that it's not consistent with the plans that were presented to him last year. 

He said, because of this, he is essentially taking back his judgement last summer and allow the city council to once again handle the issue.
