The website Boston Restaurant Talk reported ownership of the Peabody business will focus on the market amid the coronavirus health crisis.

PEABODY, MA — The cafe within Karl's Sausage Kitchen & European Market will remain closed as ownership focuses on the market amid ongoing coronavirus restrictions, according to the website Boston Restaurant Talk.

The site said the popular Route 1 market known for its authentic German food, which moved from Saugus to Peabody in 2012, said the cafe part of the market will be closed for good, though there could be to-go options introduced in 2021.

The cafe has been closed since the beginning of the health crisis in March.
