Man Hits Sign, Urinates then Flees the Scene

The following are excerpts from reports in the Peabody Police Department press log from June 13.
Thursday, June 13
- 2:50 a.m. a caller reported a motor vehicle operator that hit a sign on Newbury Street. The operator then got out, urniated and then fled the scene in the vehicle.Â
- 8:50 a.m. a assault and battery was reported on King Street Extension.Â
- 12:17 p.m. shoplifting was reported at the CVS.Â
- 10:09 a.m. an officer reported that someone may have attempted to break into a construction truck on Olsen Road.Â
- 10:22 a.m. a neighbor reported a past assault on Veterans Memorial Drive. Police arrested Gary Williams, 31, of 27 1/2 Sagamore St., Lynn. Williams was charged with assault and battery on a household member and intimidation of a witness.Â
- 10:24 a.m. a detective stopped a vehicle after it drove through a construction zone. A female driver had been driving down Main Street when she drove through a construction zone and damaged her vehicle. The vehicle was towed from the scene.Â
