Mysterious Fruit, Road Rage: Peabody Police Log

Abandoned suitcase, weed whacking, and more from the Peabody Police log.

  • Angela Maria Modugno, 34, of Salem, was arrested on charges of possession of a class E drug, two counts of possession of a class C drug, and a warrant after a traffic stop on Central Street on Thursday around 9:30 a.m. Jennifer A. Valle, 44, of Beverly, was arrested on charges of failing to stop or yield, resisting arrest, and driving with a suspended license in the same traffic stop.
  • Police took a report of a car with no one in it parked on Driscoll Street on Thursday around 10:30 a.m. The car appeared to have been vandalized, and didn't have license plates. Police found multiple needles inside, and had it towed.
  • Someone found a stray Dachshund on Route 1 on Thursday around 10:30 a.m., and brought it to a veterinarian.
  • Officers rook a report of someone dropping fresh fruit onto a Goodale Street property nightly on Thursday around 3 p.m.
  • Florin Iulian Lautaru, 19, of Fort Myers, Florida, was arrested on charges of disturbing the peace on Friday around 3:30 p.m.
  • Police responded to a report of road rage on Central Street on Friday around 4 p.m., in which a female driver reportedly got out of her car and punched and kicked the caller's car.
  • Kathleen Joan Moran, 32, of Beverly, was arrested on charges of disorderly conduct on Saturday around midnight after police responded to a report of a fight on Walnut Street. Another woman was put into protective custody, and another was summoned.
  • Eduardo M. Vidinha, 59, of Peabody, was arrested on charges of assault and battery on a household member, and threatening to commit a crime on Sunday around 8 p.m. after police were called to Union Street.
  • Police responded to a report of an abandoned suitcase left on Russell Street on Tuesday around 10 a.m. An officer found it was an empty suitcase, and disposed of it.
  • Officers responded to a report of a neighbor weed whacking near a car on Berry Street on Wednesday around 5 p.m.
  • Anthony Saputo, 49, of Peabody, was arrested on charges of drunken driving, possession of an open container of alcohol in a car, and leaving the scene of property damage on Wednesday around 11 p.m. after police responded to Washington Street.
