Northshore Mall Reopens With New Guidelines, Restrictions
Simon Property Group reopened the nine malls it owns in Massachusetts for the first time since March 19.

PEABODY, MA — The Northshore Mall reopened Wednesday for the first time since March, along with a new set of rules and guidelines aimed at slowing the spread of the coronavirus.
Simon Property Group, which owns nine malls in Massachusetts, is instituting "enhanced sanitization and disinfecting" measures in high-traffic locations, making masks and sanitizing wipes available and offering temperature checks at mall entrances. There are also extra hand sanitizing stations, signage and health measures being taken by employees.
There will be furniture and restaurant spacing. Play and stroller areas are closed and there will be a coordinated traffic flow. People will not be allowed to sit at food courts to eat. Food will be takeout only.
