Obituary: Isabelle (Jaworski) Murphy of Danvers
She was raised and educated in Danvers and was a graduate of Holten High School, Class of 1941.
Danvers, MA - Isabelle (Jaworski) Murphy passed on April 2 at her home surrounded by her family. Born in Salem on March 23, 1924, she was the daughter of the late Antony and Wladyslawa (Alice) Jaworski.
She was raised and educated in Danvers and was a graduate of Holten High School, Class of 1941. Married to Francis J. Murphy Jr. in 1947 they shared 68 years of marriage and raised seven children. Raised on her family’s farm she later went on to work as the payroll clerk for Vulcan Electric in Danvers.
When her children started arriving she took on the position of a full time mother tending to the needs of her seven children. After her children had grown she returned to the work force as an employee of Ann & Hope then later at Empire Clothing. She spent her retirement years residing in both Danvers and her home in Lehigh Acres, Florida. During these years Isabelle and her husband Francis traveled between their four homes. They spent summer months traveling to their home in Old Orchard Beach, Maine before traveling onto their home in St. Peirre de Broughton, Quebec Province, Canada.

Further enriching Isabelle’s life were the many friendships she made along the way. She was a devout Catholic and parishioner of St. Mary’s Annunciation church in Danvers and St. Raphael’s of Lehigh Acres. Isabelle was also a Third Order Carmelite a distinction earned by few Catholics. She is survived by her husband Francis, her seven children, Kenneth Murphy and his wife Geri of Peabody, June Carrarini and her husband Bob of Beverly, Kevin Murphy of Danvers, Francis J. Murphy III. of Danvers, Richard Murphy and his wife Dorothy of Topsfield, Elizabeth Murphy of Lehigh Acres, Florida and Sheila Redfield and her husband Scott of Danvers, a sister Eleanor Simpson of North Andover, 12 Grandchildren and 12 Great Grandchildren as well as several nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her two sisters, Charlotte Jaworski and Stella LePage, as well as a brother Edmund Jaworski.Relatives and friends are kindly invited to visiting hours on Friday morning at the Mackey Funeral Home, 128 S. Main St., Middleton MA. from 9am-11:15am. A funeral mass for Isabelle will be celebrated on Friday at noon in St. Mary's Parish, 24 Conant St., Danvers.
