OBITUARY: Rudolph 'Rudy' Desilets, 78

Longtime Peabody resident Rudolph "Rudy" Desilets died Monday, Jan. 20, following a lengthy illness, surrounding by his family at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers.

An obituary says Desilets grew up in Lynn and graduated from Saint Mary's High School. He then lived in West Peabody for many years and was a parishioner at Saint Adelaide's. He worked at the North Shore News for 39 years.

A funeral Mass will be held Saturday, Jan. 25 at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of the Discalced Carmelite Nuns, 15 Mt. Carmel Rd., Danvers. Burial will follow at Puritan Lawn Memorial Park. Visiting hours are Friday from 4-7 p.m. in the chapel.
